My First Blog Post

Hi, I thought I could get started on my blog by introducing myself. My name is Mohammed Zohair Ladiwala. And I am a 10 year old dude (not to be read as doodh, I hate milk!)…I am studying to be a Mechanical Engineer so I can make cars. Actually my dream was to start making a car factory of my own called HAZO . I live in India in a state called Maharastra, Mumbai Bandra . My favourite car are super cars like the Mclaren P1 as I like to go fast. I also like lamboginis, Rolls Royces  and Ferraris. Somtimes i like Suvs as well. In my house I have two cars called the Baleno Owned by Maruti Suzuki and the  Innova Crysta owned by Toyota.

Best & Worst looking cars from Manufacturer Named

What are the Best and the Ugliest cars from Manufacturers currently on sale. Well I am going to tell you. Now I am going to run this list from A to Z of all the manufacturers, and as I go through this list you might notice I have missed some manufacturers, the reason for that is that there are some manufacturers which don’t make a single ugly car, they’re all good looking . I’ll reveal those manufacturers in the end. But there are some manufacturers which don’t make a single good looking car. They are all absolutely minging. And I’ll reveal that in the end as well.

Audi e-tron gt (Best looking car)

Let start this list then with Audi. So the best looking car from Audi, I am going to shock you now, is the e-tron gt . Now it not the R8, that is good looking, but I think the e-tron GT is even better looking. Infact even though it’s based on the Porsche Taycan, I would have the Audi just because of the way it looks so cool.

Audi Q4 e-tron (Ugliest car)

Ironically the ugliest car from Audi is also electric, it’s the Q4 e-tron. The sides, the back ,the interior they’re all good. But the front looks just so wrong. The grille just doesn’t work and doesn’t need it because it’s electric.

Bentley Continental GT (The Best Looking Car)

Bentley, this is very self-explanatory. So the Continental GT looks gorgeous.

Bentley Bentayga (The ugliest car)

The Bentayga does not. This is all I have to say on this matter.

BMW 8 Series (The Best Looking Car)

The best looking car from Bmw is without a doubt the 8 series. It’s got BMW older less offensive grille and from the side the coupe profile is just gorgeous.

Ugliest Car

The ugliest car could be the ix, it’s not. It could be the new X7 Series, it’s not. It could be the 2 Series active Tourer, it’s not.

It’s the all-new 7 Series. Well with the grille combined with those new headlights. What is going on?

Cupra Formentor (The Best Looking Car)

The Cupra Formentor is a really good looking car, it looks great in pictures and when you see it in the flesh it’s even better.

Cupra Born (The ugliest car)

The opposite is true of the Cupra Born. Didn’t look great in photos and looks even worse when you see it for real. It’s basically an ID3 that just has a really ugly face.

Well that’s all for today, I’ll see you next time

Goodbye!

The Most Expensive New Cars

Hi how are you, Zohair here from PetrolHead. Now expect cars from posh brands to be expensive. It’s just the way it is, isn’t it? But you won’t believe how much some new cars have sold over the years. So I’ve put together a countdown of the most expensive new cars ever sold. I’ve only included one car from each premium brand. So it’s not just a long list of Bugattis. And every car I’ve picked has to cost more than 1,01,74,395 rupees (100 thousand pounds) because let’s face it that’s basically pocket money these days and the price do not include taxes because this can alter the price of the car massively depending on where you live. Anyway let’s start.

First 8 examples of the BMW M8 Gran Coupe First Edition are stunning

Bmw M8 Gran Coupe 1 of 8

BMW may well be quite an expensive car brand. But it doesn’t really build special one-off cars for wealthy petrolheads. This means that the most expensive new BMW ever sold is the current brand new BMW M8 Competition Grand Coupe. But it’s not just any old M8 Grand Coupe. I’m talking about the special First Edition model. BMW will only make 8 of them and they’re all painted to match the original M8 concept car from 2018. This special edition costs 177,000 pounds and before tax. And that’s more than 70,000 pounds more than the standard M8 Grand Coupe before Taxes.

Range Rover Sentinel Is A Mobile Fortress Now With More Power

Range Rover Sentinel

Land Rover built an armored version of its latest rover. Its called the Sentinel and its bulletproof, bombproof and bargainproof as well. these sort of cars don’t come cheap. But annoyingly Land Rover hasn’t fully revealed exactly how much the Sentinel costs. Maybe you can’t put a price on not being shot. This means that the most expensive Land Rover I can put on my list is the old Range Rover Sentinel from 2015. That costs a colossal 350,000 pounds before tax. But you did get a 340 horsepower supercharged V6 and enough body armor to withstand 15 kilograms of TNT exploding nearby.

Maserati MC12 - Wikipedia

Maserati MC12

Maserati has just released a brand new mid-engine sports car called the MC20. But it hasn’t made a proper supercar since the MC12 from 2004. This shared loads of bits with Ferrari Enzo. Like it carbon chassis and it’s 6 liter naturally aspirated V12. But unlike the Enzo the MC12 was actually designed to be a racing car. So it came packed with all sorts of fancy carbon fiber wings and splitters which also made it really really expensive. It cost a bit more than 400,000 pounds before tax way back in 2004.

Well that’s it for today, I will see you tomorrow

Goodbye

The Horsepower Record Breakers (Part 3)

This Koenigsegg CCR Still Looks Fresh And Modern 17 Years On
  1. 2004 Koenigsegg CCR

Koenigseqq has been around since 1994. And in 2004, just 10 years after it’s inception, it built the first production car with more than 400 horsepower. It was called the CCR and it had a supercharged 4.7 liter V8 that Koenigsegg actually borrowed from Ford. This engine made a staggering 817 horsepower. This helped the CCR to reach a top speed of 241 miles an hour.

Bugatti Veyron - Wikipedia

900 and 1000 horsepower. Bugatti Veyron

The first car to produce 900 horsepower is also the first car to produce 1000 horsepower. Any guesses? Yes it’s the incredible Bugatti Veyron. It would do 0 to 60 miles an hour in 2.5 seconds. And hit 253 miles an hour. So it was the quickest and the fastest of all time when it came out in 2005. And it’s huge 8 liter, quad turbo W16 engine produced 1001 horsepower. So it also was the most powerful car ever.

2007 SSC Ultimate Aero TT | Top Speed

2007 SSC Ultimate Aero TT

The next car on this list is the Ultimate Aero TT from 2007. Which was the first production car with more than 1,100 horsepower. It had a 6.3 liter V8 from a Corvette. With two massive turbos bolted onto it, so it made a whopping 1,108 horsepower. But that wasn’t ultimate enough for SSC because it boosted the car’s power to 1,287 horsepower in 2009. Then it gave it an even bigger 6.9 liter engine in 2013, which took power up to 1300 horsepower.

2015 Koenigsegg Regera - Images, Specifications and Information

2015 Koenigsegg Regera

The second Koenigsegg on this list is the Regera. This was the first production car to produce more than 1,400 horsepower and 1,500 horsepower when it was revealed in 2015. That’s one whole year before Bugatti revealed the 1,500 horsepower Chiron. Unlike the Chiron with it’s complicated W16, the Regera came with a hearty twin turbo, 5 liter V8, but it was also boosted by 3 electric motors. So it made 1,521 horsepower in total.

Rimac Nevera is officially the fastest accelerating road-legal product – 100kmph

Rimac Nevera

The next car on my list is the Rimac Nevera. This uses 4 electric motors and a huge 120 kilowatt hour battery pack. To produce 1914 horsepower. So it was the first car to break the 1,700, 1,800 and 1,900 horsepower barriers. Because it’s an electric car there’s no reason for the environmentalists to get enough about it either. The Nevera was revealed in 2018. But Rimac didn’t have a name for it back then. So it was just called the Concept 2 or C2 for short.

Lotus Evija

Lotus is famous for building light weight sports cars like the Elise. But in July 2019 it revealed the Evija hypercar. Just like the Rimac the Evija has four electric motors. But combined they produce an insane 2,000 horsepower. This makes it the first car to break the 2,000 horsepower barrier.

That’s it for this segment. There will be a new post tomorrow. See you next time

The Horsepower Record Breakers (Part 2)

Hi everyone it’s Zohair from PetrolHead. Today’s blog is ‘The Horsepower Record Breakers (Part 2)’.

1932 Duesenberg Model J | S124 | Monterey 2015
  1. 1932 Duesenberg Model sj

The next car to make more than 300 horsepower was the Duesenberg Model sj from 1932. It came with a supercharged, 7 liter straight a engine with 325 horsepower. But that wasn’t enough for Duesenberg, because they built a modified called the ssj in 1935 with 400 horsepower. That’s almost as much as a brand new BMW M2 Competition has.

Numbers-matching 1967 Chevy Corvette L88 sells for almost $2.7M at Mecum auction

The latest Corvette C8 has a 6.2 liter, V8 with 490 horsepower. But Chevrolet was building a Corvette with way more power than that, back in 1967. It was called the L88. And it was a super exclusive C3 model with a seven liter V8. Chevrolet claimed it only made on 435 horsepower. But it was actually producing between 540 to 580 horsepower.

Bugatti EB110 SS (French Racing Blue) | AUTOart

Bugatti EB110

The first car to make more than 600 horsepower was a Bugatti made back in 1992. But it wasn’t a Veyron that didn’t come out until later. It was actually the EB110 super sport. This was a hardcore version of the regular EB110 that made 612 horsepower from 3.5 liter, quad turbo V12. It was revealed a few months before the 627 horsepower McLaren F1.

1994 Dauer 962 Le Mans Porsche - price and specifications

1993 Dauer 962 Le Mans

Just one year after the Bugatti broke the 600 horsepower barrier, a company called Dauer, made a car with more than 700 horsepower. It was called the 962 Le Mans. And it was basically a Porsche endurance racing with some license plates and a passenger seat. But because Dauer road cars didn’t have to follow same rules as the racing cars, they were more powerful. Their twin-turbo 3 liter flat six pumped out an insane 740 horsepower. That’s almost 100 horsepower more than a brand new Porsche 911 turbo S makes today.

Well that’s it for today. I will be doing a part 3 as well. Anyway thanks for reading

The Horsepower Record Breakers

What are the most powerful cars ever? No I’m not just talking about the cars that hold the record right now. I’m talking about every car that broke through big horsepower barriers over the years. Well to find out I’ve put together a list of the first cars to make one horsepower, 100 horsepower, 200 horsepower going up to the most powerful cars on sale today with more than 2,000 horsepower

Buy Mercedes' own replica of the world's first car, the Benz Patent Motorwagen
  1. 1885 Benz Motorwagen

The first ever car was of course Benz Patent Motorwagen made by Carl Benz in 1885. This thing barely counts as a car, it only has three wheels and you steered it with a weird tiller thing like on a boat. Anyway it’s one liter, one cylinder engine only made two third’s (2/3) of a horsepower. But that was still a world record. Mainly because it was the only car in the world back then.

Benz Velo and Comfortable, 1894 - 1901 - Media Database

2. 1894 Benz Velo

The next car on my list was the first to make a whole horsepower. Oh yes, it was abenz again, the Velo from 1894. It had a one liter, one cylinder engine yet again. But this time with 1.5 horsepower. That more than double the power of the Carl Benz’s first car. Later versions even had three horsepower. Despite this it still didn’t have a steering wheel.

Isotta Fraschini Tipo KM - Wikipedia

3. 1910 Isotta Fraschini Tipo KM

Isotta Fraschini started out building engines for airships. But it also made cars. Like the Tipo KM from 1910. This had a huge 10.6 liter four cylinder engine. That’s bigger than 2 Audi R8 engines. Although unlike the two R8s, the Isotta had to make do with a 120 horsepower. At least it was the first production car with more than 100 horsepower though.

1913 Benz 82/200HP | conceptcarz.com

4. 1912 Benz 82/100

The next car on this list is another Benz. Carl was pretty busy back in early part of the 20th century. His 82/200 model from 1912 was the first car to crack the 200 horsepower barrier. Carl used the same 21 and a half liter, four cylinder engine as in his 1909 Land Speed record car. Which originally came from an airship.

Well that’s it for today. I will be uploading a part 2 soon. Thanks for reading.

Weirdest Car Logos Their Hidden Meanings

Hi, how are you, it Zohair from PetrolHead. Now every car brand in the world has it’s own logo. Sometimes you can actually guess what these logos mean. Like Jaguar. Now some brands just write their name on the badge like Ford, BMW, Bugatti. But some are a bit weirder. So here’s my list of the weirdest car logo and their hidden meaning.

Lamborghini Logo png download - 1024*536 - Free Transparent Lamborghini png Download. - CleanPNG / KissPNG
  1. Load of Bull

Lamborghini has an awesome logo. It’s a raging bull on a gold shield. But why is it a bull? Well lots of Lamborghinis are named after bulls like the Miura, the Murciélago and the Gallardo. They’re actually all breeds of fighting bulls from Spain. But that’s not the reason for having the bull on the logo. The logo actually comes from a zodiac symbol, you know like a star sign or a horoscope. Now this is because Ferruccio Lamborghini (the man who actually started Lamborghini) was big into his zodiac signs for some reason. And his star sign was Taurus which is the sign of the bull. Now Ferruccio decided to use it on his cars and a bull is a pretty cool animal to stick on your car, isn’t it, better than a sheep or a pig.

BMW - Wikipedia

2. BMW

The BMW looks like someone just wrote BMW on a dinner plate and added some blue bits for good measure. But this checkered pattern actually has a double meaning behind it. For a start it is the flag of Bavaria which is where BMW was founded and BMW actually stands for Bavaria Motor Works. You see the checkered pattern also looks a little bit like a propeller spinning against the sky. BMW actually never meant for it to mean this, but they did make engines for aeroplanes back in the day. And some people do say that it’s meant to signify that, but it’s just a coincidence. Now you might also think that the Mercedes logo is inspired by a propeller and it is, sort of. The three points on the famous Mercedes star actually represents Land, sea and air. And this is because Damla (the company that owns Mercedes and started it all) used to build engines for cars, ships and planes.

  1. Lucky number 7

People might think Americans are greedy and Jeep actually has two logos. One is just the word jeep, the other is two dots and 7 vertical lines

Jeep Logo, HD Png, Meaning, Information

It’s supposed to look like the grill of an old fashion jeep, you know the one that was used in the second world war. There are plenty of stories why Jeep has 7 bars on it’s grill. Some people say it’s because Jeep was the first car to drive on all seven continents. Now that might be true, might be not, who knows. But there’s another reason. Jeeps were originally made as military vehicles by a load of different companies, even Ford used to make Jeeps, back in the war. So to help you tell which one was which, these different models from different manufactures actually had a different number of bars on their grill at the front. Some had nine bars, others had seven.

Well that’s it for today. I will be doing a part 2 as well soon. Thanks for reading

Weird Car Names

Hi everyone Zohair here from PetrolHead. Now you might think that naming a car is pretty easy. But actually it’s a lot harder than you think. For a start you’ve got a pick something that no one has used before, also it has to sound good and it has work in a whole load of different languages. And on top of that you’ve got to please your marketing department as well. All this means that sometime you end up with weird names with even stranger meanings. So I found some of the strangest, funniest and just plain stupidest car names.

  1. Toyota C-HR

In case you failed English at school. I’ll just explain to you that an acronym is when you take the first letters of several words and use them to make a new word. Like lol or OMG!. Well carmakers love acronyms. Sometime they make sense like the Toyota C-HR. Now that stands for Compact High Rider. Which is sort of what the car is. And there’s the Honda HRV which stands for High Rider Vehicle. Sometimes brands will throw a number in for good measure, like the Toyota Rav4. The RAV bit stands for Recreational Activity Vehicle and the 4 stand for four wheel drive. But then Toyota decided to change what RAV meant when they launched the latest version of the RAV4. Now it stands for Robust Accurate Vehicle.

The Toyota MR2: History, Generations, Models & More

2) Toyota MR2

Sometimes carmakers pick a name that sounds good in English, but it might cause a bit of a stir in other countries. Like when Toyota made the MR2. MR2 actually actually stands for Midship Runabout Two Seater. Which sort of makes sense. It was a small, mid-engine two seater sportscar. And I guess you can use it as a runabout. But they had big problems then they tried to sell the car in France. Because when you say MR2 in French it mean a swear word for poo. No wonder they took off the 2 and called it just the MR. Now Audi had exactly the same problem when they tried to sell their new e-Tron SUV in France because E-Tron means turd in French.

The Chevrolet Nova: History, Generations, Specifications

3) Chevrolet Nova SS

Anyway it’s not just the French language that’s tripping at carmaker. There’s also the Spanish language as well. You see Chevrolet got into a bit of a bother when they launch the Nova. Now Nova sounds pretty cool it makes you think of a supernova, a star that’s exploding. But in Spanish Nova means ”It doesn’t go”. That’s like calling it the Chevy broken down. No wonder they barely even sold any in Mexico.

That’s all for today everyone. I will be writing a part 2 as well. But for now

Goodbye!

Top 2 Cars Which Have The Best Investment Even Today (*Part 2*)

Hi everyone it’s me Petrol-Head. And today we are going to be doing part 2.

4) Ford Sierra Cosworth

Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 4x4 1990 for sale at ERclassics

These days most fast Fords are hot hatches like the Fiesta, Focus ST. But back in the 80s, Ford was making its own version of the BMW M3. It was called the Sierra Cosworth. And it was basically a touring car for the road. It had tuned suspension, a massive rear spoiler and a two liter turbocharged engine with 204 horsepower. These cost a smidgen 23,57,157 rupees (23,000 pounds) back in 1987. But they didn’t hold their value anywhere near an old M3. If you want a decent Cosworth now you’re going to have to pay around 30,76,554 rupees (30,000 pounds), and really nice ones are going for more than 51,26,475 rupees (50,000 pounds).

5) Peugeot 205

1993 PEUGEOT 205 1.9 GTI - YouTube

The Peugeot 205 GTI was one of the first hot hatches ever. It came out in the 80s at the same time as the Golf GTI mark II. And it was absolutely brilliant. Okay so it only had 115 horsepower from its 1.6 liter engine, which sounds pitiful amount these days. But it loved to rev. And the whole weighed less than 900 kilos. So it handled like a big French go-car. It was cheap too, you could pick one up for 6,15,236 rupees (6000 pounds) in 1984. To give you an idea how much that was, a Porsche 911 cost almost 24,60,945 rupees (24,000 pounds). And these dinky little GTIs got cheaper and cheaper as the years went on. You could buy one for about 10,228 thousand rupees (1000 pounds) in 2010. But they’re much more expensive today, you’re going to have to spend around 5,11,443 lakh rupees (5000 pounds) for a decent 205 GTI.

Top 3 Cars Which Have The Best Investment Even Today

Let’s face it, most of the time when you buy a car, its value is likely to depreciate over the years. That means that if you look to sell it on, chances are you’ll make much less than what you originally paid for it. However, there are a number of cars out there where their value has gone in the other direction, and they’re worth much more than they were when they went on sale! But trust us, this isn’t just exclusively for supercars – some everyday family cars have increased, too!. So here’s my list of the cars you wish you’d never sold.

  1. Citroen 2cv
Citroën 2CV buyer's guide: what to pay and what to look for | Classic & Sports Car

The Citroen 2CV is an old car, Like really really old. It was built in the 1940s to be the perfect car for French farmers. So it was simple to build, easy to fix and it was amazingly cheap. Back in the day you could buy a brand new one for 35,935.30 rupees (350 pounds). This meant they ended up being really really popular. Citroen actually built 3.8 million of these and you could still buy a brand new one in 1990. So if you needed a cheap car and you only had 35,935 rupees (350 pounds)you can buy a second hand 2cv. All changed now though, loads of them ended up getting scrapped. So they aren’t actually many left, and the ones that are could be worth big money. You’ll need about 5,13,414 rupees (5 thousand pounds) to get a 2cv in good condition these days. But if you want a really really early 1950’s car in perfect condition it could cost you 20,53,553.rupees (20 thousand pounds). That’s bonkers!, for a car that people used to nickname the Tin Snail.

2) Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 2

1994 Lancia Delta - Integrale HF Evo 2 Giallo Ginestra Deutsche Erstauslieferung | Lancia delta, Dream cars, Delta

Lancia used to make the coolest rally cars ever, especially the Delta Integrale. These Delta would race in the world rally championship in the 1980s and the 1990s against Subaru Legacies and Toyota Celicas and they’d win. The most extreme version was the Delta Integrale Evo 2 from 1993. It had 4-wheel drive, massive flared arches and a turbocharged 2 liter engine with 215 horsepower, which was a lot back then. But Lancia had a problem, they had a reputation for rusting really really badly. So it didn’t matter how many rallies the car won, because not many people wanted to folk out 25,65,320 rupees (25 thousand pounds) for a car that might dissolve in the rain. But if you’re one of the brave people who bought one back in the day you’d be onto a winner. Because Evo2 models in good condition can be worth more than 51,30,285 rupees (50 thousand pounds) today. Just make sure you have a garage to park your Lancia in, otherwise it would just rot to pieces.

3) VW T1/T2 Campervan

Volkswagen Type 2 - Wikipedia

You’d need to be a bit of a Petrol-Head to appreciate most of the cars on this list. But not my next choice, it’s the VW Campervan. These came out in the 1950s and became massively popular in the 60s. You could buy one brand new for less than 3,07,837 rupees (3000 pounds). But they got seriously cheap in the 80s and 90s. You could actually pick up a second campervan back then for around 51,306 rupees ( 500 pounds). Loads of these Campervan ended up rusting away or being sold off for scrap. This means that the ones that are left are worth more than ever before. Even a standard campervan will set you back 10,25,941 rupees (10,000 pounds) today. Meanwhile low mileage versions that are pristine and kitted out with interiors could end up costing between 41,04,632.and 51,30,790 rupees (40,000 to 50,000 pounds)

Best Luxury SUVs

If you want a car that can pump you like a spa weekend. But can also traverse your country estate without getting stuck and he want a premium off-roader. So here’s my list of the top 3 best Luxury SUVs.

  1. Porsche Cayenne
2020 Porsche Cayenne Review, Ratings, Specs, Prices, and Photos - The Car Connection

The Porsche Cayenne is as big as a minibus. But goes, stops and corners like a sportscar. Despite its impressive agility and performance, the Cayenne has all the advantages you’d expect of a large SUV. So you get masses of passenger space and an enormous boot. While the inside feels as luxurious as a boutique hotel. Shame though that there’s no diesel version or a 7 seat option.

2) Range Rover

Land Rover Range Rover Price in India, Images, Review & Colours

The Range Rover delivers Rolls-Royce luxury in a practical SUV body. Inside the swaths of wood, lashings of leather and acres of space. While the driving position is so lofty, you get to look down on all the plebs. And if you wish to take it off road, it can cope with far tougher terrain than most SUVs. However you could still end up getting stuck because Range Rovers don’t exactly have the best reliability record.

3) Land Rover Discovery

New and Used Land Rover Discovery: Prices, Photos, Reviews, Specs - The Car Connection

If you have a big brood and the need for something that’s comfy on the road and outstanding off it, then the Land Rover Discovery is a great choice. There’s plenty of space in each of it’s three rows of seats. And the quality is almost par with the most expensive Range Rover. And if you want to save even more cash, there’s a cheaper 2-litre diesel option. However avoid the mosely entry level s model as it doesn’t even have leather nor a sat-nav.

Anyway, thanks for reading. And I will see you in the next one

Goodbye
